Walton bungalow could be demolished to make way for four new homes

A bungalow in Walton-On-The-Hill could be demolished to make way for four new homes in plans are signed off by the borough council.
An application for 'planning in principle' has been submitted for the works at Old Croft Road.
If approved, the scheme would see four, three to five bedroom homes created on the plot.
A second application detailing the exact designs for the homes would be needed before development could begin.
The application to Stafford Borough Council said the project would see the "redevelopment of underused residential land within an established settlement boundary".
It said there is "potential to deliver a modest number of new family dwellings within a sustainable location".
The application is expected to go before the council's planning committee on Wednesday 11 March.
Berkswich Parish Council has raised concerns about the scale of the development and argued the land only has room for two new homes.
"The parish council disputes the planning agent's contention that up to four new dwellings could be accommodated on the site while respecting the established character and building pattern of Old Croft Road," the council wrote.
"The latter is typified by medium to large size dwellings set well back from the road behind long front gardens.
"At its maximum this proposal would represent an over-densification of development of this land demonstrably at variance with and harmful to the character of the area.
"The parish council accept that, given the dimensions of the plot, there is scope to erect more than one dwelling here.
"The parish council does not therefore object in principle to demolition of the existing building nor to redevelopment of the site for residential purposes."
