Government issue flood alert for Stafford

Stafford could experience flooding according to a recent update on GOV.UK.
According to: the website: "River levels remain high but steady at the Milford river gauge.
"Flooding may affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Sow between Great Bridgeford and Shugborough, the River Penk between Coven and Stafford, the Sandyford Brook, the Rising Brook, the Ridings Brook and the Saredon Brook."
The situation is being closely monitored and river levels at Milford gauge are expected to remain high until tomorrow (4 March).
No significant rainfall is forecast over the coming days and people are encouraged to avoid driving, cycling or walking through flood water.
