British Alpaca Society National Show to return to Stafford
By Livia Gregor 2nd Mar 2026
More than 500 alpacas will be participating in the Halter Show, with the winners of regional shows competing in the Champion of Champions Fleece Show.
Taking place from 20 March to 22 March, the event is one of the largest and most prestigious alpaca shows in the world.
A wonderful range of products skilfully crafted from alpaca wool will be available to purchase.
A post on the Society website about the event said: "Immerse yourself in the world of alpacas as you explore stalls offering a range of alpaca-related products. From soft and warm alpaca fibre clothing to unique alpaca-themed gifts, you'll find it here. Don't miss the chance to meet knowledgeable experts who can provide valuable insights into alpaca care, breeding, and more."

Hands-on alpaca experiences and demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day, perfect for families.
Children can attend the event for free with adult tickets costing £8 per day.
Competitions will be streamed from both rings and judged by world class experts.

The British Alpaca Society said: "All BAS members are warmly invited to exhibit at the show or to visit over the weekend for this fabulous event with fellow alpaca owners and enthusiasts. We also welcome visitors from around the world and the local community to experience the shows, meet some of the best alpacas in the UK and enjoy the social occasion."
A shuttle bus will be available from local Premier Inn hotels to the showground.
