Haçienda DJ who inspired The Stone Roses to perform in Stafford next month
By Livia Gregor 29th Jul 2026
DJ Jon Dasilva, best known for his countless appearances at Manchester's Haçienda in the late 80s and early 90s, will be performing in Stafford next month.
Recently voted 25th in Iconic Magazine readers' poll of All Time Top 50 DJs, Jon's Haçienda sets were exciting and experimental, taking inspiration from the House and Disco scenes in New York and Chicago.
He is credited with influencing The Stone Roses, The Chemical Brothers and The Happy Mondays who he has accompanied on tour.
On Saturday 22 August, Jon will be taking crowds on a musical journey at Top of the World in Stafford.
He will be joined by fellow DJ Trevor Fung, a pioneer of the Ibiza club scene who has performed sets at Glastonbury and Burning Man Festival.
Event organiser and DJ Ryan Pettit, who has been arranging parties for over thirty years, said: "We're trying to bring a bit of new life to the town and a club that has been used in the dance scene for a lot of years, going back to the 90s.
"The venue layout is fantastic.
"We're going to use the original DJ booth.
"A lot of people now put the DJ up on a stage but we're not about that.
"We're all about the music.
"This event is all about bringing energy and love to the Stafford music scene."
