The Bookery is the latest addition to Amerton Artisans, a shopping hub located at Amerton Farm in Stafford.
Charley Reeves-Hughes, 39, decided to follow her dream of setting up a bookshop after being diagnosed with blood cancer last year.
Reflecting on her decision to start The Bookery, Charley, who was originally an accountant, said: "I just wasn't happy. I didn't want to sit behind a desk all day. I wanted to bring people joy and books, do that for people, because it's an adventure inside paper, isn't it?"
At the shop's open day on Saturday 28 February customers were given goodie bags and had the chance to explore the store's wide selection of books.
The Bookery sells novels from a range of genres including romance, thriller, and crime.

Customers can purchase a 'Blind date with a book' which includes a mystery book, a reading tracker, a bookmark, stickers, and a teabag.
Charley decided to join the Amerton Artisans after it was recommended by another vendor.
The shopping and creative hub provides a place for local businesses to sell crafts, clothes, books and much more.

Speaking on the importance of buying from local businesses Charley said: "If you don't support us, we're going to go. You're helping the little people live their dreams."
The Bookery is open every day from 10am until 4pm, the shop is dog friendly,so don't be afraid to bring along a furry friend.
Self-proclaimed "Book-obsessed human" Charley said: "We only get one shot at life. We really do. We just need to do what we think is right, and this feels right now. Being part of this community, all little businesses, it just feels right being here."
