Stafford Spring Fair attended by 'thousands of people'

Market Square was full of fun, food, and festivities on Saturday 7 March as residents enjoyed Stafford Spring Fair.
Musical acts such as Disco Divas, Stone Cold Sober Ish and The Acoustic Rainbow took to the stage, entertaining crowds with classic songs and impressive saxophone solos.
Attendees had the chance to buy a range of wonderful products from local businesses including jewellery, homeware, and artisan crafts.
A tasty selection of street food and home baked goods were available to sample including chicken balti pie courtesy of The Indie Pie Company.
Tim Sayer, owner of The Indie Pie Company, began training as a chef at the age of 19.

After receiving positive feedback on his pies from family and friends, Tim decided to go into business.
The 43 year old enjoys experimenting with different flavours and along with chicken balti pie, customers can also try chorizo and sweet chilli sausage rolls.
When asked why he enjoys attending the Spring Fair, Tim said: "I'm in the kitchen a lot of the time, but I love the face-to-face aspect, telling people who we are, what we are doing, getting ideas off all the people."
The fair was opened by Town Crier Adrian Basford at 11am.
Community events, such as the Spring Fair, have been taking place in Market Square since the Middle Ages.

Charity Hearts & Hands, which provides food parcels for people who are struggling financially, was raising money at the fair.
Sharon, who began volunteering for Hearts & Hands after receiving support herself, said "We came [to The Spring Fair] just to try and raise awareness of what we do, so if we're not reaching people out in the community, we can reach as many people as possible.
"Anybody that needs a food parcel every week, that's who we try to reach out to."
Fellow volunteer Pauline added "It's surprising how many people are suffering."
The event organisers posted on social media: "Thank you to everyone who came along to support the Stafford Spring Fair.
"It was great to see the town centre busy throughout the day, with thousands of people attending, enjoying the stalls, watching the performances, and supporting local traders.
"Events like this only work when people come out and take part. People often say they want to see more happening in Stafford, and days like this show what is possible when the community comes out and supports it."
