Stafford drug dealer jailed for six years after dealing class A drugs while on bail
By Livia Gregor 27th Mar 2026
A man, from Stafford, has been jailed for more than six years, after selling heroin and crack cocaine while out on bail.
Thomas Moore, 26, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Friday 20 March after pleading guilty to three counts of being concerned in supplying a controlled drug of class A to another, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine), possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (heroin) and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
Moore, from Beaconsfield, received a further 10 weeks in jail for breaching a suspended sentence order.
On April 16 last year, Moore was arrested after being found with 74 individual wraps of heroin and crack cocaine, with a combined street value of £980.
This was the result of officers stopping and searching a Volkswagen Golf on Merrivale Road.
He was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, pleaded guilty at court the next day and was released on bail.
While on bail, Moore set up a new drugs line and continued to sell class A drugs in Stafford.
On September 25, he was arrested and charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine and was released on bail at court for a second time.
At the beginning of 2026, he established yet another drugs line and on January 15 was again arrested.
The line was recovered, following a search of a property in Stafford.
Moore was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and possession of criminal property.
He pleaded guilty to the offences at court and was remanded in custody while awaiting final sentence.
PC Lydia Hooley, from the county proactive and rural crime team, who led the investigation, said: "Moore's blatant disregard for the law by setting up multiple new drug lines while out on bail from court demonstrates the audacity with which he operated.
"We were committed to tackling and dismantling Moore's drug supply operation and as a result, we were able to uncover the full extent of his offending and bring him to justice.
"Six years in prison is a welcome result and reflects the seriousness of his crimes.
"The impact of drugs and drug dealing on our communities is significant and we will continue to act on intelligence to shut down deal lines like this – no matter how persistent offenders may be."
