By Livia Gregor 21st Oct 2026
Staff from a leading Midlands law firm, are taking on the London Marathon to support blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia.
Mia Beddows, a New Build Property Conveyancer from Davisons Law's Stafford office and Chantelle Steel, a Residential Property Paralegal from the firm's Wolverhampton office will be taking on next year's 26.2-mile race.
So far, Chantelle has raised £1,411 and Mia £940, taking the pair's combined total to £2,351 towards a joint target of £5,500.
Mia said: "My mum has always run marathons, and growing up watching her has been a huge inspiration to me.
"Taking on a marathon myself is something I've wanted to do to follow in her footsteps and, most importantly, make her proud.
"When I found out that Davisons works closely with Cure Leukaemia, it made the opportunity even more meaningful.
"I sadly lost my childhood football coach to leukaemia last year, so this is a cause that holds a very special place in my heart.
"I'm incredibly proud to be running for Cure Leukaemia and raising money for such an important cause."
Chantelle said: "I'm incredibly proud to be running the London Marathon for Cure Leukaemia.
"Taking on 26.2 miles is a huge personal challenge, but knowing that every mile I run can help raise vital funds and support people affected by leukaemia makes it even more meaningful.
"The training, early mornings, long runs and inevitable tough days will all be worth it.
"I'm hoping to turn the challenge into something positive that can make a real difference.
"Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help me get closer to my target and, more importantly, help Cure Leukaemia continue its vital work."
The duo have a series of fundraisers lined up to help raise further cash.
A virtual race night and auction will take place at Oxley Golf Club in Wolverhampton on 25 February 2027, and a quiz night and auction is also being planned in Stafford for 2027.
Dress down days, bake sales and a charity football match are also in the pipeline.
Davisons Law is a founding member of Cure Leukaemia's Club 10 and has supported the charity through a number of fundraising events.
Anthony Myles, Director at Davisons Law's Stafford office, said: "Chantelle and Mia are taking on a massive challenge and everyone at Davisons is behind them.
"Cure Leukaemia is a charity that means a great deal to us as a firm, and seeing two of our own colleagues putting in the hard miles to support its work makes us all very proud.
"We'd encourage clients, friends and the wider communities in Wolverhampton and Stafford to get behind them, whether that's donating online or coming along to one of the fundraising events planned for 2027."
