Learn how to make your Stafford business dementia-friendly
By Livia Gregor 30th Mar 2026
A meeting will be held this Thursday (2 April) to provide shops and businesses with information about how to support customers living with dementia.
Attendees will learn how making small changes to their business can make navigating the town centre more accessible and less stressful for someone with the condition.
Over 13,600 older people in Staffordshire have dementia.
The session will be held at the community room at Asda Stafford Superstore and will begin at 10am.
Organisers LR Partnership Events said: "Did you know that something as simple as a black mat at an entrance can be seen as a hole by someone on their dementia journey, making it difficult or frightening to enter a building?
"We will be sharing practical, straightforward ways you can make your business or space more accessible and welcoming, along with simple changes that can make a real difference.
"Pop along, have a chat and find out how small adjustments can help make Stafford more dementia-friendly for everyone."
