250,000 bulbs planted for Lower Drayton Farm Tulip Festival opening this weekend

A local farm is "bringing the magic" of "the Dutch tulip fields" to Staffordshire, this spring.
Lower Drayton Farm, just fifteen minutes from Stafford, is hosting its very own tulip festival.
Opening this Friday (3 April), visitors are encouraged to come and enjoy "a tulip wonderland".
Plenty of photo opportunities will be available with the farm's very own mini Dutch windmill providing the perfect backdrop.

Lower Drayton Farm said: "Visitors can expect vibrant displays, picture-perfect spring scenes and a relaxed countryside setting, making it an ideal day out for families, couples and flower lovers from across Staffordshire and the West Midlands."
The Blossom and Bloom Tearoom will be open for the duration of the festival and is exclusive for ticket holders.
The cafe will be serving everything from cream tea to hot and cold lunch options.

Farmer Richard Bower said: "We were blown away by the response to our tulips last year, so we've gone even bigger for 2026.
"It's hugely exciting to welcome both new and returning visitors to the farm to experience the beauty of nature in full bloom.
"For us, it's all about creating special moments and making memories — whether that's families enjoying time together, couples taking in the views, or simply giving people a chance to slow down and enjoy something truly seasonal."

After opening on Good Friday (3 April), the Tulip Festival will finish on 6 May.
Tickets are £11 and are available on the farm's website with opening hours typically being 11am until 3pm.
Special twilight sessions will be taking place in the second and third week of April, "where guests can enjoy the tulip fields into the evening with a relaxed atmosphere and licensed bar on site — perfect for soaking up golden hour views."
