On the very day the Battle of Hastings was fought, 960 years ago, people will have the chance to discover the secrets of The Bayeux Tapestry at a special talk hosted by Historic Stafford.

Locals are invited to join resident expert Alan as he uncovers the real story behind the world famous wall hanging next Wednesday (14 October) at Stafford Castle Visitor Centre.

'The Story Within The Stitches' event costs just £5 to attend and those interested should book tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Free parking and refreshments will be available on the day.

The visitor centre is wheelchair accessible and an accessible toilet is located in a nearby building.
