Saturday 8 August: Stafford Pride

A joyous day of celebration will take place in Victoria Park this weekend.

Stafford Pride is an opportunity to honour and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

The park will be packed with food and drink stalls, live music, funfair rides and entertainment.

A'WHORA from Ru Paul's Drag Race UK will be taking to the stage alongside a fabulous selection of talented performers.

Until 15 August: The Magic Faraway Tree Museum Adventure

This summer an exciting children's trail has arrived at the Ancient High House.

The Magic Faraway Tree trail gives families the chance to uncover different parts of the museum while bringing to life all the magic of Enid Blyton's classic novels.

Historic Stafford said: "Each stop on the trail invites children and their families to explore some of the different worlds of the Magic Faraway Tree – from the Land of Topsy Turvy to the Land of Presents!

"Expect fun drawing and writing activities, plus prompts designed to spark conversations about what you've encountered in the museum.

"Complete the activity sheet to receive your Magic Faraway Tree Museum Adventure sticker!"

There is also a chance to take part in a drawing competition.

Saturday 8 August: The ABBA Day Party

Calling all fans of ABBA!

This Saturday, Top of the World Stafford will be transported back in time to the world of 70s disco.

Get ready to hear all the ABBA classics from "Dancing Queen" to "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" as well as a range of funky floor fillers from across the decade.

Organisers said: "Get ready for a glitter-filled afternoon of pure pop perfection as we celebrate the iconic music of ABBA!

"Whether you're a lifelong fan or just love a bit of feel-good disco, this is your chance to sing, dance, and party like it's Eurovision '74!"
