LAST CHANCE: 'Twenties Takeover' exhibition
This weekend is the last chance to see the 'Twenties Takeover' exhibition at the Staffordshire History Centre.
Visitors have the opportunity to learn about the 1920s through a range of objects from everyday homeware to fashion and finery.
Historic Stafford said: "Items on display include a Georgette evening dress, purchased by a member of Eccleshall's Hudson family, that captures the ornate and iconic styles that swept the 1920s.
"There are also numerous medicines of the time unopened for a century and a stunning selection of ladies' shoes.
"While the trauma of the war cast a long shadow over the decade, the 1920s saw Britain rebuild in an era of great change.
"Through the exhibition, visitors can explore this era of challenge, renewal and transformation."
The free exhibition is open each day from 10am until 4pm and will close on Saturday (17 October).
Saturday 17 October: Eccleshall Grand Singathon
People are invited to join in the fun at the Eccleshall Grand Singathon this Saturday (17 October).
The event kicks off at 11am with a fantastic selection of local musicians performing throughout the day.
Entry is just £3 (including a tea or coffee) and a range of refreshments will be available.
Eccleshall Community Band said: "We will be performing alongside loads of great bands and musicians from the local area taking part — including a debut performance!
"And of course, there'll be great cake, coffee and plenty of good company.
"Come along, support local musicians and enjoy a great afternoon of music!
"We can't wait!

Saturday 17 October: Gatehouse Theatre tour (few tickets remaining)
Fancy taking a look behind the scenes at the Gatehouse Theatre?
Returning this Saturday (17 October), the popular tour is led by an expert guide and follows the story of the building from its beginnings as the historic Borough Hall to the present day.
Tickets are limited and priced at £12.
The Gatehouse Theatre said: "There's a chance to see the dressing rooms, hear about how shows are put together, the stars who have played here and take a peek at our famous Green Room window wall and its dozens of famous autographs.
"You might even get to meet some of our resident ghosts!
"Places are limited to 10 and the tour involves some stairs, so please bear this in mind when booking."
