Saturday 9 May: Words for Peace Poetry Workshop
A day of spoken poetry, writing and discussion is taking place this weekend at St Mary's Church.
Hosted by Stafford poet and BBC Short Story Competition finalist David Braziel, the event will focus on the theme of peace.
According to Eventbrite, "Through discussion, readings and a series of writing exercises" attendees "will think about peace in its many forms: personal and global, quiet and difficult, sought, built and found."
The event will prepare those present for the World for Peace Poetry Competition, giving both seasoned poets and those just starting out a creative space to generate ideas.
Saturday 9 May/ Sunday 10 May: Canalside Farm Spring Market
It's May on Canalside Farm meaning it's time for the annual spring market.
Open on both Saturday and Sunday, customers will have a chance to buy products from a range of local vendors including She is Jewellery, Wear it Quirky, Totally Wood and Matilda's Melts.
The market will take place in the carpark at the front of the Glasshouse between 10am and 4pm both days.
