Calling all alpaca enthusiasts! 

The British Alpaca Society National Show will be happening this weekend at Staffordshire County Showground.

The event is perfect for people of all ages, with hands-on alpaca experiences and demonstrations taking place throughout the day. 

There will be a range of competitions such as the Champion of Champions Fleece Show and stalls selling an impressive selection of crafts made from alpaca wool.

Saturday 21 March- World Poetry Day celebration

 Enjoy a day of poetry readings and music this Saturday at Stafford Cricket and Hockey Club to celebrate World Poetry Day. 

Hosted by Stafford's own award-winning poet David Braziel and with performances by speakers from across the globe, the event is not to be missed. 

Workshops will begin at 12:30pm and Asian Pakistani-style food will be provided outside the venue by Zainz Catering.

The Stafford Car Boot Sale will return for the 2026 season this Sunday.  

As is traditional, the sale will take place on Stafford Common, where it has been held for over 50 years.  

According to the organisers: "It is not only a fun day out for all the family, but also a great way to make some money.  

"Have a look around and grab yourself a bargain or make some cash selling your unwanted goods." 

Weather permitting, sellers can enter the site from 6am and there is no need to book a pitch. 

Buyers can attend the event from 7am, free of charge.  

Refreshments will be available from a variety of street food stalls.
