A new dental practice will soon be opening in Stafford Town Centre.

The clinic, known as The Dentist, will be taking up residence at 38 Greengate Street, a building which dates back to the 18th century.

Previously a housing Toni & Guy, the practice will be offering treatments from general check-ups to cosmetic work.

A spokesperson for The Dentist said: "Transforming a Grade two listed building into a modern dental practice has been a journey filled with care and patience.

"We've spent months balancing the beauty of the building's history with the standards and technology needed for safe, modern dentistry.

"We've carried out structural surveys, planned clinical rooms, and changed modern services without disturbing protected features and created a decontamination room that meets today's strict standards.

"And now, behind those heritage walls, you'll find advanced technology, digital systems, modern X‑ray equipment, and comfortable, ergonomic dental chairs."

The Dentist already has successful practices in Shrewsbury and Chesterton.

The team hope to continue this legacy by providing "personal, honest, and genuinely supportive" care to people living in Stafford.

Although The Dentist is not registered with the NHS, practice manager Jane Simpson promises that treatment will be "affordable" and that the practice will "give back to the community".

Flexible treatment options will be available as well as membership plans.

There will also be special rates for key workers, military families and people fitting certain criteria.

The practice will also be providing a training course for dentists who want to learn how to place implants.

This means that implants will be available at a reduced rate for suitable candidates.

The Dentist said: "We want this practice to be more than a place for dental appointments; we want it to be a positive presence.

"A place where people feel welcome, listened to, and cared for.

"A place that supports local events, schools, charities, and the people who make this area what it is."
