Summer days out on public transport from Stafford: Lichfield

Whether you're being environmentally conscious or simply want to leave the car at home, Stafford Nub News is here with all the information you need to have a fantastic day out using public transport this summer.
This week's destination is Lichfield.
Many Stafford locals will have spent lots of sunny days in the beautiful Lichfield.
The cathedral city is easily accessible by public transport and has plenty of historical sights to explore.
Getting there by train:
A regular train service runs between Stafford and Lichfield Trent Valley taking just under 20 minutes.
Once at Lichfield Trent Valley, visitors can either walk around 30 minutes into the centre of Lichfield or change trains, alighting at Lichfield City.
Getting there by bus:
Board either the 826 (stand 1) or the 828/828A (stand 4) at Gaol Square.
The bus will take around an hour and 20 minutes and passengers can alight in Lichfield city centre.
