The Pickled Pig has been crowned Urban Pub of the Year 2026 by Staffordshire CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).

On Wednesday (22 July), The Pickled Pig team were presented with the award surrounded by a crowd of supportive customers.

The Borehole Inn in Stone has finally been beaten, having won the award for the past four years in a row.

CAMRA members voted for their favourite pubs before a panel of judges made the final decision.

In April, The Pickled Pig celebrated its first anniversary after opening its doors last year.

Known for its artisan pizzas, live music and welcoming atmosphere, the pub regularly holds events for local people to enjoy such as poetry nights, a book club, quizzes and crafts.

Speaking about their win, The Pickled Pig said: "We are extremely proud to be noticed by CAMRA for the quality, range and taste of our cask ales.

"Last year we were recognised as Newcomer of the Year, so to maintain our passion for the Pig and the offer to the community 15 months in, is a great achievement, one that we will continue to adapt and improve to reach our customers' expectations in the years ahead."
