Staffordshire Police is hosting a free bike security marking event in Stafford this weekend.

Officers will be marking bikes outside The Gym Group on Wolverhampton Road from 2pm until 4pm tomorrow (25 July).

The event is free and no booking is required.

Staffordshire Police said: "Have you recently bought a new bike, or would you like to better protect your current one?

"Come along and have your bike security marked for no cost .

"Security marking helps deter theft and can significantly increase the chances of your bike being identified and returned if it is ever stolen."

Children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult or have permission from a parent or guardian before their bike can be registered and security marked.
