By Livia Gregor 25th Jun 2026
A local foodbank is in urgent need of supplies after experiencing an "unprecedented demand" for food.
Staffordshire Women's Aid are calling for donations as they prepare for the school holidays, a time when many parents struggle to provide two to three meals a day for their children.
The charity said: "Our Foodbank Needs Your Help!
"Due to unprecedented demand in recent weeks, our foodbank shelves are running very low.
"Every donation, no matter how small, helps us support women and families across our community.
"Thank you for your continued support."
The foodbank urgently needs the following items:
- Coffee
- Tinned items – Fray Bentos pies, hot dogs, stewing steak, corned beef, ravioli, baked beans & sausages, minced beef
- Tomato based cooking and pasta sauces
- Cereal
- Tinned sweetcorn
- Juice (cordials/squash)
- Ketchup & mayonnaise
- Tuna
- Noodles
- Crisps
- Mini chocolate bars and children's sweet treats
Donations should be brought to the Women's Centre, 2nd Floor, Civic Centre, Stafford, ST16 3AQ between 9:30am–3:00pm (Monday and Wednesday only).
