The route for this year's Stafford 10K has been revealed.

Back in March, event organisers launched a competition, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Stafford 10K, inviting people to design the race's course.

In May, it was announced that local runner Christine had won the competition with a preliminary version of the route released to the public.

However, it was made clear that small adjustments were likely to be made to ensure the meeting of required safety and regulatory standards.

Earlier today (25 August), event organisers said: "The route has now been officially measured and confirmed.

"We can't wait to see you all take on this special 10th Anniversary course!

"See you on the start line!"

Road closure information will be released in early September.

Stafford 10K will take place on Sunday 20 September, starting at 9:30am.
