Man who drove wrong way down M6 sentenced at Stafford Crown Court
By SWNS 23rd Feb 2026
A motorist, who drove down the M6 the wrong way to avoid a £6.40 toll, has been jailed.
Footage shows Jordan Sneddon, 28, reversing away from the M6 toll pay area.
He is then seen performing a U-turn in his black MG before driving the wrong way down the carriage into oncoming traffic.
Police were called after other road users saw him hurtling past them last August.

Sneddon drove the wrong way down the south carriageway for around six miles before leaving the toll road near Burntwood, Staffs.
Police dashcam footage shows them chasing Sneddon who hit speeds of 90mph in a 30mph zone.
Sneddon is then seen going through a red light before crashing into a roundabout.
When he was arrested he refused a breathalyser test.
On Monday, February 16, Sneddon, was jailed for 14 months at Stafford Crown Court after he admitted dangerous driving.
As part of his sentencing, Seddon was convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
He was banned from driving for two years, extended for seven months.
PC Mark Boyles, from Staffordshire Police, said: "Sneddon's driving was incredibly reckless and could have easily resulted in someone being seriously or fatally injured.
"I'm pleased that we were able to resolve this incident safely and prevent potential injury to both Sneddon and other road users."
