Lines have reopened between Stafford and Wolverhampton after being closed due to damage to overhead electric wires.

There has been major disruption to rail services since Tuesday evening (24 March) when a tree fell on the line near Penkridge.

No trains have been able to run between Stafford and Wolverhampton since the incident with lines having reopened at around 12:30pm today (26 March).

Services are now able to run as scheduled.

Passengers may be entitled to compensation, if they experienced a delay as a result of the disruption.
