Yesterday (5 June), Katharine House Hospice's Princes Street shop closed its doors in preparation for exciting refurbishment works.

It is hoped that following its transformation, customers will be able to enjoy an improved shopping experience and that it will be easier for the team and volunteers to sort donations.

Katharine House Hospice said: "The refurbishment will include new signage inside and out, new flooring, refreshed décor, updated visual merchandising and a fresh coat of paint.

"We'll also be adding a raised display area in the front window to showcase the creative displays our retail team is known for.

"We'll share details of our grand reopening as soon as they're confirmed and can't wait to welcome everyone back."

Due to the refurbishment, donations can't currently be accepted at the Princes Street shop.

Any donations should be taken to Katharine House Hospice's superstore on Astonfields Industrial Estate.

The shop should be back open by the end of the month.
