Fire crews called to Stafford factory

Firefighters were called to a factory in Stafford yesterday (6 Oct) after workers reported seeing a haze, thought to be smoke.
At around 7.10pm, crews were called to Ranshaw Drive after the caller reported seeing smoke coming from a building.
Four appliances and an aerial ladder platform (ALP) attended the scene.
The ALP was used to examine the building for fire risk whilst firefighters used thermal imaging cameras and gas monitors to investigate and monitor conditions inside and outside the building.
No one was injured.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We found that the haze was caused by a vacuum pump ventilating a pot oven.
"This pump had been overfilled with oil."
At 9:30pm, fire crews left the scene.
