Competition to design route for Stafford 10k to celebrate special anniversary
By Livia Gregor 27th Mar 2026
A competition is being run to design the route of the Stafford 10K this September.
The challenge has been organised to mark the ten-year anniversary of the race.
In 2025, 1,895 runners took part in the Stafford 10K with winner Lee Gratton completing the course in 29 minutes and 40 seconds.
Lee also won the Stafford Half Marathon which took place last Sunday (22 March).
Stafford 10K organisers said: "We're inviting runners, supporters, and the local community to help design this year's course.
"Got a favourite route?
"A hidden gem?
"A crowd-lined street that would bring the energy?
"Now's your chance to shape race day!"
Routes must begin and end at Victoria Park with the race village remaining in its usual location.
The proposed course must not include any subways or underpasses.
Winners will be rewarded with free entry into the 10K and 10K t-shirts for themselves and a friend.
Routes should be submitted as a Google Maps image or a Strava file.
To enter email [email protected] or contact Stafford 10K via their Facebook page.
The competition will close on 30 April.
