Last weekend, Police seized three off-road bikes after carrying out proactive stops in Stafford.

On Saturday (26 September), officers on patrol in the Silkmore Lane area spotted individuals driving the bikes in an inconsiderate manner.

Police detained those riding the bikes and carried out a search.

A quantity of drugs was discovered.

A 20-year-old man, from Stafford, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug, ketamine; drug driving, driving with no insurance and obstructing an officer in execution of their duties.

He has since been released on bail while inquiries continue.

Another rider was reported for traffic offences and police seized the bikes for destruction.

Staffordshire Police said: "We are continuing to appeal for anyone who has drone, CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of off-road bikes being used recklessly in their area to report it to us, as part of our Operation Transom activity."
