Woman left with potentially life-changing injuries after incident on Sandon Road

A woman has been left with potentially life-changing injuries after an incident in Stafford on Wednesday (7 October).
A man has been charged with assault offences following the incident on Sandon Road, near the junction of Beaconside.
Adam Tunnicliffe, 44, of no fixed address, has been charged with section 18 – wounding with intent.
Officers were called to the scene just before 9:50pm after reports were made about an injured woman who was found on a zebra crossing.
The woman was taken to hospital where she remains.
On Saturday (10 October), Tunnicliffe appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre.
He was remanded into custody following the hearing and is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 13 November.
