Saturday 16 May: Parade to welcome new mayor

This weekend Stafford's new mayor will take the chains of office during a special ceremony at the Gatehouse Theatre.

Cllr Mark Winnington will be following in the footsteps of the current mayor, Cllr Jenny Barron.

The Civic Service will be followed by a parade to celebrate the new mayor taking office

Servicemen and women as well as local organisations will be taking part in the parade which will start between 12:30 and 12:45.

Stafford residents are invited to spectate and enjoy the procession.

Saturday 16 May: Let Me Entertain You (Robbie Williams tribute)

Renowned tribute artist JK will be taking to the stage, bringing the music of Robbie Williams to life at the Gatehouse Theatre on Saturday.

The show will transport the audience to some of Robbie's greatest performances from his famous appearance at Knebworth to his Royal Albert Hall swing concert.

Robbie Williams himself said of the show "It's like watching me".

JK has toured throughout the world and appeared on the BBC, MTV and ITV.

Sunday 17 May: Wildlife at the Castle

Back by popular demand, the Wildlife at the Castle event will be returning this Sunday.

Perfect for families, there will be plenty of opportunity to meet a whole host of animals during the course of the day.

This will includes birds of prey, alpacas and ferrets.

Local and national animal charities will be attending the event to help attendees to learn all about nature and wildlife.

There will also be stalls selling crafts, artwork and local produce.

Admission is free with doors open from 10am until 4pm.
