Friday 5 June to Wednesday 14 June: Peter Jolly's Circus

The circus is in town this weekend in Stafford.

Attendees can expect an action-packed show with everything from clowns to acrobats to amazing daredevil stunts.

Located on Stafford Common, the circus will be entertaining crowds from Friday evening until next Sunday.

The show will also feature a selection of furry friends including dogs, cats, ponies and horses.

Saturday 6 June: Open day at pony rescue centre in Eccleshall

Elverra Pony Rescue is opening its doors to the public this Saturday.

From 2pm to 5pm visitors will have the chance to meet the ponies, enjoy a barbecue and take part in activities.

All proceeds raised will go towards the upkeep of the centre.

Entry is £2 and there will also be a range of market stalls to be admired.

Elverra Pony Rescue said: "Bring your family and friends along for a fun afternoon while helping support the ponies in our care.

"Every visit makes a difference, and we can't wait to welcome you all!"

Saturday 6 June: Amerton Artisan Market

It's time for Amerton Artisans' monthly market at Amerton Farm.

The market is a great opportunity to purchase some really unique products and support local businesses.

From dreamcatchers to homemade fudge to calligraphy demonstrations there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Opening from 10am until 4pm, the market is the perfect weekend stop-off with dogs very much welcome.

Amerton Artisans said: "Our monthly markets take place on the first Saturday of every month, and we can't wait to fill the courtyard with creativity again.

"Pop the date in your diary, bring a friend (and your pup), and come support your local makers."
