What’s on at Shugborough Estate this Halloween?
By Livia Gregor 27th Oct 2026
Spooky season is upon us and as usual Shugborough Estate is hosting an exciting programme of events for families to enjoy!
Until 1 November, The Great Big Halloween Hunt Trail is taking place on the estate.
Inspired by the book The Great Big Halloween Hunt, illustrated by Ekaterina Trukhan, families can follow the witch's trail around Shugborough, searching for clues and solving puzzles to help complete her Halloween adventure before reaching the final stop.
The trail is free with admission and no booking is required.
Perfect for a rainy day, kids can create their own flying bat to take home at one of the estate's free Halloween craft sessions taking place on 29, 30 and 31 October between 10:30am and 1:30pm.

On 29 October, spooktacular face-painting will take place at Park Farm.
Local professional face-painting business, Rawr Paint, will be onsite from 10:30am until 1:30pm to transform visitors into skeletons, witches and other classic Halloween characters.
Face-painting is £6 per person and queueing may be required during busy periods.
Gethin Thomas, marketing and communications officer, said "With autumn colour beginning to appear across the estate, October half term is a fantastic time to visit Shugborough.
"With our popular Halloween trail back and creative craft sessions throughout the week, there's plenty for families to enjoy.
"We're looking forward to welcoming visitors for a memorable half-term in the heart of Staffordshire."
