Popular variety and garden store Home Bargains will close its doors to customers for three days over the festive season.

The chain's 617 stores will be closed on Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year's Day (1 January).

This means that Stafford's three Home Bargains stores will be closed on these days.

A comment is yet to be made by Home Bargains, however, a statement from a company spokesperson on a similar closure last year said: "Our colleagues work incredibly hard throughout the year, and we want to recognise that commitment.

"As a family-run business, we understand the importance of spending time with family and friends, particularly over the holidays.

"We're proud to give our teams additional time off to enjoy the festive season."
