A coach will run from Stafford to Alton Towers on 29 August allowing people to enjoy a day of fun without the hassle of parking and traffic.

The service was announced by Stafford Coaches, a new local page dedicated to organising fun and affordable coach trips for people in Stafford.

Back in March, D&G announced the cancellation of the X41 service to Alton Towers.

Many locals took to social media to express their disappointment.

One X user wrote: "I can't pay £25-£40 each way in taxis each trip, that bus was a godsend."

With return tickets just £15, the coach will give people the chance to visit the popular theme park without breaking the bank.

The coach will stop at Rising Brook (Royal Oak area) at around 08:30 and Stafford Railway Station at approximately 08:45 before hitting the road at 9am.

Admission is not included and the return coach will set off at 6:30pm.
