This morning (13 August), Year 13 and college students across the country received their A-Level grades.

Lots of young people will have been anxiously awaiting their results since completing their exams in June.

Fortunately, many pupils in Stafford have truly excelled this year.

23% of all grades awarded to students at Blessed William Howard Catholic High School were A* or A.

Three quarters of the school's pupils have secured a university place or an apprenticeship, a figure significantly higher than the national average.

Mr. Karl Brown, Principal, said: "Blessed William Howard students have once again achieved remarkable success, securing places at leading universities through their high aspirations, resilience and dedication.

"Students, parents and teachers should be very proud of these excellent, well-deserved grades.

"I extend my warmest congratulations to all students for their individual achievements and my deepest thanks to the staff whose commitment, guidance and hard work have enabled our students to flourish and fulfil their potential."

Stafford Grammar School has also had an exceptional set of results marking the school's strongest academic performance since 2021.

76% of the independent school's grades were A*-B with the vast majority of students securing their first choice university or places on highly competitive degree apprenticeships with industry leaders including Airbus, the BBC and PwC.
