Stafford man jailed after admitting to monkey dust-related offences

A man in his 30s has been jailed after admitting to being involved in the supply of monkey dust in Stafford.

Ryan James Holt, 33, of Stafford, appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Wednesday (16 September) where he admitted being concerned in the supply of class B drugs, monkey dust.

This followed a stop-and-search carried out by officers in the Highfields area of Stafford on Tuesday 15 September.

Holt was handed a four-month custodial sentence for the offence, which also activated his previously suspended sentence over similar offences, for which he had been out on licence.

As a result, Holt will therefore remain in prison until the end of 2028.

He was also ordered to pay a £154 surcharge upon release.

Staffordshire Police said: "We continue to do all we can to disrupt, identify and pursue those responsible for dealing drugs in our communities and urge anyone with relevant information on dealing in their area to get in touch with us.
