Stafford man arrested following crash that may have caused life-changing injury

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle when his alcohol level was above the limit, following a crash on Friday, 13 March.
At around 9:25pm, Staffordshire Police were called to a crash involving a single vehicle on Eccleshall Road in Woodseaves.
West Midlands Ambulance Service, National Highways and Western Power were also in attendance.
A grey Volkswagen Golf, which had crashed into a lamppost, was found at the scene.
A woman, the passenger in the car, was taken to hospital to receive treatment for a potentially life-changing leg injury.
She currently remains in hospital.
The man has been released on bail, while police continue their enquiries.
Specialist investigators are asking witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam, or CCTV footage, of a grey Volkswagen Golf travelling along the A519 from Newport to Woodseaves in the time leading up to the collision at around 9.25pm, to get in touch with police by calling 101, or by emailing [email protected] quoting incident 781 of 13 March.
