This Sunday (20 September), staff from Stafford Specsavers will be taking on the Stafford 10K for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

The cause is close to the hearts of the Stafford team after a sight test at the branch led to the diagnosis of a brain tumour in a three‑year‑old little girl called Harper.

Harper has now recovered with the help of Birmingham Children's Hospital and has rung the bell to mark the end of her treatment.

The team recently made a visit to the hospital and are keen to raise as much money as possible for the cause.

Stafford Specsavers said: "We've had a humbling experience visiting Birmingham Children's Hospital – seeing firsthand the amazing care, support and life-changing work they do for children and families every single day was truly inspiring.

"It opened our eyes even more to how vital every penny is!

"That's why the team are lacing up our running shoes and taking on the Stafford 10K Charity Run on Sunday 20 September – all to raise funds for this fantastic cause!

"We're determined to raise as much as we possibly can to help them continue doing what they do best: doing more for sick kids.
