See inside the ‘quirky little cottage’ just a stone’s throw away from Stafford town centre

A holiday let, located on Weston Road, gives guests a taste of cosy country living just outside Stafford town centre.
Nightingale Cottage, once a convalescent home for County Hospital patients, has been transformed into fully equipped self-catering accommodation by owners Michelle and Ian.
When the couple purchased the property it consisted of two flats with planning permission to be converted back into a singular house.

The cottage was in a state of some disrepair but has now been fitted with brand new heating and insulation and boasts three generously sized double bedrooms.
There is also a stylish kitchen and a dining room fitted with a desk, perfect for working from home.
Dogs are welcome with a wooded walking trail just two minutes away.

Michelle said: "It's a quirky little cottage.
"It's very cosy at nighttime.
"As an independent local business ourselves, we're passionate about supporting the wider Stafford community and helping visitors enjoy everything the area has to offer.
"We would love local businesses to think of Nightingale Cottage when they have visiting clients, contractors or employees needing accommodation."

Since opening in December, Nightingale Cottage has had visitors from far and wide including guests who travelled from Canada to see what Staffordshire had to offer.
Complimentary welcome hampers are provided which include a selection of biscuits, bread, bottled water, milk, tea, coffee and coffee pods.
