Staffordshire Police is attempting to trace the rightful owner of a large amount of suspected stolen scaffolding which has been recovered in Stafford.

Earlier today (Tuesday 11 August), police stopped a white Vauxhall Combo van on Sidney Avenue in Stafford.

During a search, a large amount of scaffolding equipment was discovered in the rear of the van.

Officers are now keen to track down the owner of the scaffolding.

Staffordshire Police said: "If you, your business, or someone you know has recently had a significant quantity of scaffolding equipment stolen in the Stafford area, please get in touch with Staffordshire Police.

"Please quote incident reference SP-20260811-0172 when contacting us.

"Anyone with information can contact Staffordshire Police via 101 or through the Staffordshire Police website."
