A charity shop in Stafford has announced that it will reopen later this month after closing for refurbishment on Sunday 5 July.

Katharine House Hospice's Princes Street shop will once again open its doors to customers on Friday 24 July at 11am.

Mayor of Stafford Borough, Cllr Mark Winnington, accompanied by the Mayoress, will perform a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially reopen the shop.

It is hoped that following its transformation, customers will be able to enjoy an improved shopping experience and that it will be easier for the team and volunteers to sort donations.

Katharine House Hospice said: "The refurbishment will include new signage inside and out, new flooring, refreshed décor, updated visual merchandising and a fresh coat of paint.

"We'll also be adding a raised display area in the front window to showcase the creative displays our retail team is known for."

Until 24 July, donations can't be accepted at the Princes Street shop.

Any donations should be taken to Katharine House Hospice's superstore on Astonfields Industrial Estate.
