Man and woman arrested on suspicion of monkey dust supply offences in Stafford

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of monkey dust supply offences following a proactive warrant in Stafford.
Staffordshire Police's County Proactive and Rural Crime Team (CPART) accompanied by Stafford Borough local policing team, carried out the warrant in the Rising Brook area on Friday (19 June).
After a search, a quantity of suspected class B drugs was recovered, along with suspected stolen property and cash.
A man and a woman, both 35, from Stafford were detained at the scene.
They were each arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, being concerned in the offer to supply class A drugs and handling stolen goods.
The pair remain in custody while police continue their enquiries.
Sergeant Craig Beardsley, of CPART, said: "We continue to do all we can to disrupt the supply of illegal substances across Staffordshire and are working together throughout Neighbourhood Policing Week and beyond to achieve this."
Stafford Borough LPT commander, Chief Inspector Saqib Butt, added: "We are determined to crackdown on drug dealing and related criminality in Stafford in order to protect our communities from harm.
"The message is simple, if you're dealing in Stafford, we're coming after you."
