The M6 northbound between J14 (Stafford) and J15 (Stoke-on-Trent) is closed following a crash.

All emergency services are at the scene, including Staffordshire Police and Air Ambulance.

There are currently delays of over 40 minutes on the approach.

National Highways Traffic Officers are assisting with traffic management and preparations are being made to release vehicles caught within the closure.

Motorists travelling northbound are advised to take the diversion route by following the hollow triangle diversion symbol on road signs.

Diversion route:

• At M6 Junction 14 take the exit to A34 northbound.
• Continue along A34 northbound to its junction with A500 at Hanford.
• Take the exit to A500 westbound and continue to M6 junction 15

Anyone travelling today should leave extra time for their journey.
