Lorry carrying unusual cargo stopped by Staffordshire Road Crime Team

The Staffordshire Road Crime Team halted a lorry yesterday (13 May), after it was found to be carrying an unusual load.
The lorry drew the attention of the team after it was seen transporting a locomotive on the M6 (J14).
Following a stop check, it was discovered that the vehicle was carrying a greater amount of weight than initially calculated.
The Staffordshire Road Crime Team said "unfortunately the movement order weights for axles and total weight didn't match up with the actual weights which pushed it up into a different category."
The lorry is now parked and is awaiting a new movement order and move date.
