Labour and Co-operative Party victorious in Manor Ward by-election

Aaron Thurstance, of the Labour and Co-operative Party, has been elected to Stafford Borough Council to represent Manor Ward.
The by-election, which took place yesterday (16 July) had a turnout of 25.8% with polling stations closing just hours ago.
Speaking about his victory and plans for the future Aaron said: "It hasn't sunk in yet.
"It's a real honour.
"I'm running a community led campaign.
"If you look at my campaign, they were all deliverables [deliverable promises].
"That's the most important thing."
The election was called following the death of Cllr Angela Loughran in April.
