The candidates for the Manor ward by-election have been revealed.

Voters will go to the polls on Thursday 16 July to vote for a new Stafford Borough Councillor.

On the same day a by-election will take place for South Staffordshire District Council in the Himley and Swindon ward.

The two elections are taking place following the deaths of Stafford Borough councillor Angela Loughran and South Staffordshire District councillor Roger Lees.

Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on 16 July.

Residents can register to vote until Tuesday 30 June and the deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 1 July.

Voters attending a polling station will need to bring photographic ID with them, such as a UK passport, driving licence or disabled blue badge.

Anyone who does not have ID can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate until 5pm on Wednesday 8 July at www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate.
