Cancer awareness drop-in bus to visit Stafford
By Livia Gregor 18th Mar 2026
The Cancer Awareness Bus Tour will be visiting Market Square in Stafford on Tuesday 24 March.
The bus is currently travelling across Staffordshire, aiming to raise awareness about cancer symptoms and help people to understand the NHS screening programmes which are available.
It offers a safe, informal space where residents can ask questions without any judgment.
There is no need to book an appointment as the bus is a drop-in service.
Here is what to expect from a bus visit:
- Information on common cancers and early warning signs
- Advice on who is most at risk
- Details about NHS screening programmes
- Free health checks (where available)
- Friendly, confidential conversations with trained staff
Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System said: "Many people notice changes in their body but aren't sure whether to get them checked.
"For most people, symptoms won't be cancer – but if it is, spotting it early makes treatment more successful.
"You don't need symptoms to visit, learning what's normal for you can help protect your health.
"In 2025, more than 5,800 people climbed on board to get vital information and on-the-spot support. "
Residents don't need to worry if they are unavailable on 24 March, the bus is visiting many other locations across Staffordshire, including Stone on 23 March and Cannock on 25 March.
