The arrival of the Range Rover Electric marks a major milestone for the luxury SUV brand, with the new model now available to order in the UK.

Designed to deliver everything customers expect from a Range Rover, but with fully electric power, the new model promises a quieter and more refined driving experience without compromising on performance or all-terrain capability.

The Range Rover Electric uses two 260kW electric motors, producing up to 550PS and 850Nm of torque.

It can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 4.3 seconds, while offering up to 372 miles of WLTP range on a single charge.

And despite its electric powertrain, Range Rover says there has been no compromise when it comes to the capability for which the brand is renowned.

Advanced traction management can respond in as little as 50 milliseconds, while the Range Rover Electric can wade through up to 900mm of water – helping maintain the go-anywhere credentials expected of the Range Rover name.

Charging is also designed to fit around everyday driving. Using a suitable 350kW DC rapid charger, the Range Rover Electric can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in around 22 minutes, with the manufacturer stating that up to 137 miles of range can be added in just 10 minutes.

Inside, the focus remains firmly on luxury, with Range Rover describing the new model as its quietest yet.

The absence of a conventional combustion engine helps create an even quieter cabin, while the interior continues the minimalist and sophisticated design associated with the Range Rover family.
