Optical Assistant - Stafford

Full-Time - £26,500 + bonus

YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN OPTICS OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED

We're working with a well-established, independent optical practice in Stafford that's looking to add an experienced Optical Assistant to their close-knit team. This is a genuinely relaxed, supportive environment where you're trusted to do your job properly without unnecessary pressure - but still expected to bring a strong work ethic and team-first attitude.

The Role

This is a hands-on Optical Assistant position where you'll be involved in the full patient journey. You'll need to be confident dispensing at all levels and comfortable working in a busy but supportive setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Dispensing a wide range of frames and lenses
  • Delivering excellent customer service from start to finish
  • Supporting the clinical team and maintaining smooth day-to-day operations
  • Building rapport with patients and contributing to the local community feel

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year's optical experience
  • Confident dispenser (all levels)
  • Hard-working, reliable, and team-focused
  • Comfortable in a relaxed but accountable working environment
  • Experience with systems like Socrates is helpful but not essential

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: 26,000+bonus
  • Store bonus: up to £1,000 annually (based on performance)
